Steps to a healthier working environment #14

It is often hard to find the time to sport during our workweek. We spend our whole day behind our desk and don’t have the energy to go to the gym after work. We give you several tips on our blog to ensure that you get enough exercise during your workweek! So let’s get moving.

Exercise more, soon it’s gonna feel amazing!

1. Walk to you colleagues

Moving a little more isn’t hard! There are a few small things you can do to feel fitter! You can walk to your colleagues instead of mailing or calling them when you have a question. This is more social and fun.

 

2. Loosen your shoulders

How often does it occur that we come home after a working day and that we suffer from neck or back pain? These problems sometimes occur because we spend our day behind our desk. The wrong posture, a desk that stands too low and a bad chair can cause pain. Our muscles start to cramp and at night we crawl into our beds with pain. So it’s important that you move occasionally during your working day! Loosen your shoulders or back. Stand up and walk around. You’ll see that your muscles will relax and that your complaints will reduce.

 

3. Go sporting with colleagues

Most of us know this situation: it’s around New Year and we make ourselves the promise that we’ll go sport more this year. But after a small month, there isn’t much left of this promise. We find excuses so that we don’t have to go to the gym anymore. This is why it’s best to make a pact with colleagues or friends to work out together. Sporting will become a nice and social event. You can encourage each other when it becomes hard. After a small amount of time it will become more fun to work out!
